an advertisement for a new phone/Advertisements on TV are getting longer.
✗
There are too many advertisings on the internet.advertising
○
There are too many advertisements on the internet.1つ1つの広告を数えるので advertisement の複数形
✗
Children are exposed to many advertising every day.
○
Children are exposed to a lot of advertising every day.advertising のままなら a lot of、数えるなら many advertisements
a ban on all forms of advertising は広告という活動全体を禁止する話なので advertising、Advertisements are influencing us in a negative way.
(Australian Government Guidelines on Advertising and Information Campaigns、2025年9月版)は、広告キャンペーンを次のように定義しています。
Australian Government Guidelines on Advertising and Information Campaigns(September 2025)
an advertising campaign involves paid media placement and is designed to inform, educate, motivate or change behaviour.
Society would benefit from a ban on all forms of advertising because it serves no useful purpose, and can even be damaging. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
△
A complete ban would also remove public information campaigns, such as those warning against drink-driving, which exist to protect lives rather than to sell anything.
Some people say that the main aim of advertising is to increase sales of products that people do not really need. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
さらに、このタスクの後半には products that people do not really need とあります。
Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold.
Advertisements are influencing us in a negative way.
Some people say that TV advertisements are helpful for viewers, while others disagree. What is your opinion? Some people feel that the effects of advertising are positive for individuals and businesses, while others think they are negative.
Supermarket advertisements that list weekly discounts allow families on a tight budget to compare prices before they go shopping.
Advertising makes people buy unnecessary things.
○
Some advertisements link a product to social success, which can lead young people to buy goods they cannot afford simply to fit in.
TV advertisements are helpful for viewers
Television advertisements can be genuinely helpful to viewers when they provide the information people need to make a choice. For example, an advertisement for a new mobile phone plan that states the monthly price and the amount of data included allows viewers to compare it with their current contract. Without such advertisements, many consumers would not realise that a cheaper option was available. However, this benefit exists only when the information is accurate, which is why consumer protection laws in many countries prohibit misleading advertising. In other words, advertisements serve viewers well when they inform rather than simply persuade.
all forms of advertising
public information campaigns、government health campaigns、campaigns against drink-driving
