IELTSライティング・タスク2は、以下の採点基準（Band Descriptors）にしたがって、Task Response、Coherence and Cohesion、Lexical Resource、Grammatical Range and Accuracyの4項目で評価されます。それぞれ、Band 9からBand 0までの整数値でスコアリングされ、最終的なライティングのスコアは、平均値に最も近い0.5単位に切り下げられます。
この採点基準は2023年5月に改訂されており、多くの項目で記述が詳しくなっています。このページではバンドごとに現行版（Updated May 2023）と旧版の記述を、日本語訳とあわせて並べ、どこがどう変わったのかも合わせて解説します。

2023年5月に改訂されています（Updated May 2023）。Task Responseだけでなく、Coherence and Cohesion、Lexical Resource、Grammatical Range and Accuracyも含め、ほぼ全バンドで記述が詳しくなりました。採点の水準そのものが大きく変わったわけではなく、何がその水準にあたるのかがより具体的に書かれるようになっています。
Band 7のover-generaliseとlack of focusはどちらも起きると7で止まりますか。
どちらか一方でも起これば、Band 7の記述にある弱点にあたります。現行版ではover-generaliseとlack of focus and precisionがorでつながれており、両方そろわなくても、どちらか一方が見られれば7の記述の範囲に入ります。
20語以下の回答は必ずBand 1になりますか。
はい。現行版のBand Descriptorsには、Task Response、Coherence and Cohesion、Lexical Resource、Grammatical Range and Accuracyの4項目すべてに「20語以下の回答はBand 1と評価される」という基準が明記されています。この基準は旧版にはなく、2023年5月の改訂で追加されたものです。
