Task
Some people think that zoos are cruel and all zoos should be closed. However, some people think zoos can help protect animals. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
動物園は残酷で全て閉鎖すべきだと考える人もいます。しかし、動物園は動物を保護するのに役立つと考える人もいます。両方の見解について論じ、あなた自身の意見を述べなさい。

While some people argue that zoos should be closed down because their living environment are unnatural for animals, in my opinion, they are important for protecting wild animals.
First, it is not acceptable to use animals for human profit. Animals are used for people's entertainment in zoos and it has negative effects on animals. For example, keeping animals in small places can cause stress and even health problems. Animals are usually kept in small cages and cannot move around freely. Their move is limited because it is not natural environment even if there are artificial ponds and rivers in zoo. Large animals such as elephants and polar bears need large habitats like in the wild to move around. In addition, when people develop new medicine, animals are used to test for the effectivity and side effects before using it for humans. From this viewpoint, people should not use animals for their benefits.
Second, others believe that zoos bring a significant advantages for endangered animals. Although they can move around freely in the wild, there are many dangers and a significant number of them are dying because of weather, lack of food, and also people who kill them to make money, such as to sell their skin and body. In addition, they can live longer in the zoo because people feed them enough, give medication and there are no enemy. Therefore, they can live in a safer environment than the wild.
In conclusion, although some people say zoos should be shut down, I believe that they play an important role for protecting animals. Therefore, zoos have a lot of advantage in our society.

大変よく健闘されています。ただ、タスクからずれてしまっている箇所がありますので注意が必要です。よくタスクを読み返し、重要なポイントをチェックしましょう。今回は動物園を閉鎖するべきかどうかを議論するタスクですが、ボディ１では「人間の利益のために動物を利用するべきではない」という主張が使われており、議論の方向がずれてしまっています。途中からの説明されている「人工的な環境が与えるストレスや健康・幸福への影響」をメインアイデアとして展開するとよさそうです。また、ボディの最初の文（トピックセンテンス）にて、明確に主張とメインアイデアを述べるように意識してみてください。タスクから逸れにくくなります[TRCC]。プランニングの練習も効果的です。語彙は概ね広い範囲を効果的に使えています（acceptable / endangered / habitat）が、ミステイクもまだ多く残るようです。文法では冠詞、単数複数、代名詞、前置詞を見直しておきましょう。正確性を維持することと、テーマごとよく使われる表現のインプットを続けていきましょう（endangered species / captivity / breeding / reintroduction / conservation / predator など）。
