Band 6・Fluency and Coherence(現行版)
Coherence may be lost at times as a result of hesitation, repetition and/or self-correction.
Band 7・Fluency and Coherence(現行版)
Some hesitation, repetition and/or self-correction may occur, often mid-sentence and indicate problems with accessing appropriate language. However, these will not affect coherence.
Q. How has the use of mobile phones changed in your country over the past decade?
✗
Well, in Japan, mobile phones are very common. Almost everyone has one, young people and old people. Ten years ago, many people also had smartphones, and they used them every day. So mobile phones are very popular.
○
The biggest change, I'd say, is that people now use their phones for almost everything, not just for calls and messages. Ten years ago, most people still paid in cash and carried paper tickets, but now a lot of people use their phones to pay, to get on trains and even to check in at the doctor's.1文目で、何が変わったのかに答えている
I'm not sure, but I'd say ...
Q. Do you think mobile phones are essential in modern life?
△
Yes, I think so. They are very convenient, and we can do many things with them.
○
For most people, yes, pretty much. In a lot of places you now need one to pay, to get into events or even to order food in some restaurants, so if you leave it at home, you can actually get stuck. I wouldn't say it's essential for everyone, though. My grandmother manages fine without one, mainly because my parents do a lot of things for her.「多くの人には、ほぼ」と程度を付け、そうでない人の例まで話している
Q. Why do you think so many people choose to keep pets?
✗
Because pets are cute. And also they are good for our health. And also, I mean, some people feel lonely, so they want a pet. And also children like animals. So pets are cute, and that's why many people keep pets.
○
I think a lot of it comes down to loneliness. More people live alone these days, especially in big cities, and a dog or a cat gives them someone to come home to. It also gives them a bit of a routine, because you can't skip walking the dog just because you're tired. For people who work from home, that might be the only reason they go outside some days.
✗
I think many people feel lonely. My family has a dog, too. He's ten years old now, so he sleeps most of the day. Actually, older dogs need a lot of care, and vets are really expensive these days. Last month, we paid a lot for his treatment.
○
I think many people feel lonely. My family has a dog, too, and he's ten years old now. My parents spend a lot on his care, including quite expensive vet bills, but they never complain, because for them he's part of the family. I think that feeling of having a companion is the main reason people keep pets.
2-2の△の回答も、They are very convenient で理由を言い終えています。
I usually cook my own meals instead of eating out.
Firstly, pets make people happy. Secondly, they are good for our health. Furthermore, children can learn responsibility. In conclusion, keeping pets is good.
