The English classes at my company are subsidised, so I only pay about half the fee.
scholarship
get / win / be awarded a scholarship、a full scholarship、on a scholarship
grant
a research grant、a government grant、apply for a grant
stipend
a monthly stipend、receive a stipend
I was awarded a scholarship to study at a university in Australia.
I'm hoping to get a full scholarship, which would cover all my tuition fees.
She studied in the UK on a scholarship.
Cambridge Dictionary の例にも a student grant と a research grant が並んでいます。
My supervisor got a research grant, so our lab could buy new equipment.
I'm paying back a student loan from my university days, so I'm trying to keep my living costs down.
I got a scholarship that I don't have to pay back, which made a huge difference to my family.
△
I got a scholarship from my company.
○
My company is paying for my IELTS course.
My company is paying for my English lessons.
My employer covers the cost of the exam.
The company will reimburse me for the exam fee.
My company is sponsoring me to do an MBA in the UK.
My company has a benefit for English study. It's part of our training programme. や My company supports employees who want to study English.
Why are you taking the IELTS test? や Do you work or are you a student?
The scholarship requires an overall score of 7.0.
I need a 7.0 to be eligible for the scholarship.
I'm applying for a scholarship to study in Canada.
If I get a 7.0, my company will pay for my tuition.
apply for は応募する段階、get や be awarded はもらえた段階です。
Q. Why are you taking the IELTS test?
I'm applying for a scholarship to do a master's degree in the UK, and it requires an overall score of 7.0. If I get it, it will cover my tuition fees and give me a monthly stipend, so it's really important for me. Honestly, without it, I couldn't afford to study abroad.
Some people argue that the government should subsidise university education so that it is affordable for everyone.
I think grants are fairer than loans, because students don't start their careers in debt.
My company is paying for my lessons. や My employer covers the cost of the exam.
My employer covers the cost of the exam. や My company is paying for the exam. The company will reimburse me for the exam fee.
I'm applying for a scholarship. I need a 7.0 to be eligible for the scholarship.
