I get on well with my neighbours./I get along well with them.
I got to know her at university.
know は状態を表すので、知り合う瞬間は got to know で言う
We became friends in our first year.
I've known him for ten years./We've been friends since high school.

回数は once/twice/three times a month の形で言う
I spend time with my family at weekends.
spend time のうしろは with
keep in touch は with とセットで使う
✗
I keep in touch my old classmates on social media.
○
I keep in touch with my old classmates on social media.
How do you usually keep in touch with your friends?
△
I often play with my friends at weekends.
○
I often hang out with my friends at weekends.
○
I usually meet up with a few friends on Saturdays.
Did you like sharing your belongings as a child?
関係:a close friend/an old friend/a colleague/a former classmate/my next-door neighbour

手段:We keep in touch on LINE/We message each other almost every day/We video-call once in a while
We usually talk about work, films and what we did at the weekend
We get on really well./We're quite close./We have a lot in common.
I don't meet him often.
We don't see much of each other these days./We've drifted apart a bit.

I can relax with her.
I can be myself around her./I don't have to make an effort with her.
I lend things.
I don't mind lending things out./I'm quite happy to share.
catch up with someone catch up on something のほうは、たまっているものに追いつくことを指し、catch up on sleep、catch up on emails のように使います。
I try to catch up with my university friends two or three times a year.
I usually spend Sunday morning catching up on housework.
We have drifted apart. We fell out over something silly. や We stopped speaking for a while.
Do you prefer to have a lot of friends or a small group of friends? I don't have many friends.
△
I don't have many friends, so I prefer a small group.
○
I'd much rather have a small circle of close friends.
Do you often borrow things from friends or family? と Are you comfortable lending your belongings to others?
✗
Could you borrow me your charger?borrow
In the society, people rarely talk to their neighbours.
○
In society, people rarely talk to their neighbours.
○
In Japanese society, people rarely talk to their neighbours.
Do you think social media brings people together or drives them apart?
It does both, I think. Social media has made it much easier to keep in touch with people who live abroad, and I'd probably have lost touch with several friends without it. At the same time, a lot of those connections stay fairly superficial, because commenting on someone's photo isn't the same as sitting down and having a proper conversation. So it widens our social ties but doesn't necessarily deepen them.
Do you prefer to have a lot of friends or a small group of friends? です。
Q. Do you prefer to have a lot of friends or a small group of friends?
I prefer a small group of friends. I have three close friends. We meet often and we talk about many things. I think it's better than having a lot of friends.
I'd much rather have a small circle of close friends. There are only three or four people I see regularly, but we've known each other for years, so I can be myself around them. With a bigger group I always feel I have to make an effort.
増えたのは a small circle of、see regularly、be myself around them、make an effort といった組み合わせで、その結果、一文ごとの内容がより具体的になっています。
I'd much rather have a small circle of close friends. There are only three or four people I see regularly, and a couple of them I've known since primary school, so we really do go way back. That means I can be myself around them, which is much harder with people I've only just met.
上級の表現は go way back の1つだけです。
Could I borrow your charger? と Could you lend me your charger?
get on well with と get along well with は、どちらを使えばよいですか。
catch up with と catch up on はどう違いますか。
catch up with someone catch up on something は、たまっているものに追いつくことで、catch up on sleep、catch up on emails のように使います。
I don't have many friends. I'd much rather have a small circle of close friends.
We drifted apart.
We fell out over something silly. や We stopped speaking for a while.
In the society と In society は、どちらが正しいですか。
Do you think social media brings people together or drives them apart?
基本では、keep in touch with の with、one of my friends の複数形、現在完了で言うつきあいの長さを正確に言えるようにします
good friend の一語で済ませていた説明が、get on really well、quite close、have a lot in common のように分かれます
daily routine、weekends、taking a break
