△
I often hear music on my way to work.
○
I often listen to music on my way to work.
I mostly hear music in shops or in TV adverts. I first heard this song on the radio.

I listen to all kinds of music. や A bit of everything, really.
Q. What kind of music do you like?
I'm mostly into pop and a bit of jazz. When I was at university, I listened to a lot of rock, but I've sort of grown out of it. These days I also have lo-fi hip-hop on in the background when I'm working from home.

Q. Have you ever been to a concert?
Yes, a few times. The last one was a jazz gig in a tiny bar in Osaka, and seeing the band live felt completely different from streaming their songs. I was so close to the stage that one of the solos actually gave me goosebumps.
Q. Why do young people and older people often like different kinds of music?
I suppose a lot of it comes down to the music people grew up with. Most of us get into certain bands in our teens, and those songs stay connected to memories, so we keep listening to them for years. Younger people, on the other hand, discover new music through streaming services and short videos, so their taste tends to change much faster. That said, I don't think the gap is as big as it used to be, because a lot of playlists mix old and new songs together.
1つ目の答えは、動詞の枝から go to a gig と see ... live、stream、ジャンルの枝から jazz、気持ちの枝から it gives me goosebumps を取り出しています。
I'm not really a music person, but ...
No, I haven't. I only played the recorder at primary school, but I'd love to learn the guitar someday.
ただ、試験官が知らないこともあるので、a Japanese rock band や a singer-songwriter from Osaka のように、どんな人たちかを一言添えます。
