wake up と get up は指している動作が違う
What time do you usually wake up in the morning? I wake up at six but I don't actually get up until half past.

catch up on と catch up with を取り違えない
catch up on something catch up on sleep、catch up on housework、catch up on emails
I usually spend Saturday morning catching up on sleep.
Then in the afternoon I might catch up with a friend over coffee.
free time、the time、how long it takes

I don't get much spare time during the week.

I check the time as soon as I wake up.

I take it easy on Sundays. 一方で Take it easy.
04昔と今を比べる:used to と would と be used to の使い分け
Has your daily routine changed much in recent years? と Has the way you spend your free time changed compared to when you were a child?
✗
I'm used to get up at five when I was a student.be used to
○
I used to get up at five when I was a student.
○
I'm used to getting up early now, so it doesn't bother me.
used to と be used to は、見た目が近いだけで役割が違います。
used to
I used to play tennis every weekend.
would
On Sundays we would all get up late and have a big breakfast.
be used to
I'm used to the new schedule now.
get used to
It took me a while to get used to working from home.
✗
I would live in Osaka when I was a child.live のような状態を表す動詞には used to のほうが自然
○
I used to live in Osaka when I was a child.
○
When I was a child, we would spend every summer at my grandparents' house.
When I was a child, ...
I don't go out as much as I used to.(以前ほど出かけなくなった)
I've started cooking more since I moved out.(あることを始めた)
My weekends are a lot quieter than they used to be.(状態そのものが変わった)
It's changed quite a lot, actually. I used to spend most of my free time playing football with friends, but I don't do that as much as I used to. These days I'd rather have a quiet weekend at home, which would have sounded very boring to me ten years ago.

have a lie-in

△
In my free time, I usually kill time by reading novels.
○
When I have to wait for a train, I usually kill time by reading.

work-life balance
flexible working hours
remote working
productivity

switch off
It's hard to switch off when you work from home.
I don't have much free time.
long working hours/limited leisure time
I'm busy with work.
a heavy workload/long working hours
I don't sleep much.
a lack of sleep/sleep deprivation
My job takes up a lot of time.
working hours/work-life balance
I often feel tired.
stress/burnout
✗
The productivities of workers will go down.productivity
○
Productivity tends to fall when people are short of sleep.
I think flexible start times would help a lot of people. Not everyone works best in the morning, and forcing a night owl to be at a desk at eight often means they spend the first two hours achieving very little. If companies let people choose, I suspect overall productivity would go up rather than down, and there would be less sleep deprivation as well.
How do you usually spend your weekends? です。
Q. How do you usually spend your weekends?
On Saturday I clean my room and do the shopping. On Sunday I relax at home. Sometimes I meet my friends. I like my weekends because I'm not busy.
My two days are quite different, actually. On Saturday I get a few errands out of the way, so it's mostly shopping and catching up on housework. Sunday is the opposite. I keep it completely free, have a lazy morning and usually end up reading for a couple of hours.
get a few errands out of the way、catch up on housework、keep it free、have a lazy morning
My two days are quite different, actually. On Saturday I get a few errands out of the way, so it's mostly shopping and catching up on housework. Sunday is the opposite. I don't set an alarm, I have a proper lie-in, and I try not to plan anything at all. After a week of early starts, that one slow morning is what gets me through the following week.
I don't set an alarm
I'm getting up earlier than usual this month. What time do you usually wake up? I usually wake up at about seven.
at the weekend と on the weekend は、どちらが正しいですか。
used to と be used to は、どこが違いますか。
be used to はいまの慣れで、うしろには名詞か doing が来ます。I used to get up at five. I'm used to getting up early.
When I was a child, ...
I spend two hours studying English every day. I spend two hours to study English. It takes me about twenty minutes to get to work.
have a lie-in と oversleep はどう違いますか。
Part 3
I don't have much free time. は limited leisure time や long working hours に、I'm busy with work. は a heavy workload に、I don't sleep much. は a lack of sleep や sleep deprivation に広げられます。 Do you think employers should offer more flexible start times?
